Mathematics

The course comprises pure mathematics and applied mathematics.
The pure mathematics element develops algebraic and geometrical reasoning alongside problem-solving skills. You will learn how to produce well-reasoned answers to extended questions.

The applied mathematics element, which includes mechanics and statistics, involves mathematical modelling to make sense of real-life problems. You will learn how to model real-life situations in mathematical terms, how these models are refined, and how to identify their limitations.
