Our Post-16 curriculum is designed to provide a well-balanced and comprehensive study programme that includes academic subjects, enrichment activities, personal development, and career preparation.
Timetable and Study Hours
Year 12 Study Time
In Year 12, students typically study three or four A-Level subjects, with each subject delivered over 8 hours per fortnight. Alongside academic study, students take part in a structured enrichment programme, attend regular tutor time and assemblies, and complete a dedicated work experience week.
Year 13 Study Time
In Year 13, students typically study three A-Level subjects, each delivered over 9 hours per fortnight. Dedicated study periods remain in the academic programme throughout Year 13. The programme is enhanced further with dedicated enrichment sessions and regular tutor time and assemblies.
Additional Study Options
For students who need to re-sit core subjects, we offer structured support through dedicated lessons:
-
GCSE Maths re-sit: 68 hours
-
GCSE English re-sit: 68 hours
These hours are in addition to the main study programme and ensure students have every opportunity to achieve a pass in these essential qualifications.
